I got the opportunity to read the first book in the upcoming Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor series from one of my favorite authors, Lori Foster, and I must say she has done it again. When You Dare brings us more of what make Lori such a great writer; strong characters, believable plot lines, hunky man candy and steamy romance.
Molly, an author of sexy romantic fiction, and Dare, the security specialist, fill these pages with chemistry and emotion that just pulls you in. You are served a couple of plot twists just to keep you guessing, and I love that. I hate when I know in the first few chapters who the true villain will turn out to be.
The story begins when Dare has been hired to rescue the sister of one of his closest friends who has been taken by flesh traders into Mexico. While he is freeing her from her captives, he comes across Molly and jut cannot leave her there. Molly proves to be a very independent woman who surprises Dare at every turn with her strength and fortitude. No spoilers here, folks. Let's just say, you will not be disappointed.
As a long time Lori Foster fan, I have read most of her books and count her to be be in my top 5. That being said, the not so subtle, tongue in cheek dig at those of us who felt so strongly about her deviation from contemporary romance into paranormal romance with her My Man Michael book (SBC Fighter Series), did not go unnoticed and brought a whole new level of understanding to Molly’s dilemma with her fans. Kudos, Ms. Foster, for staying true to your muse.

Adding a New One To My Favs!!
I just finished a Rhyannon Byrd weekend with Against The Wall, Waiting For It and Triple Play. And let me just say one thing... SIZZLE! Her characters jump off the page and make you wish you could join in the fun.
Hot Alpha Males and the females that draw them, attract them and consume them! She writes not only sexy romance but emotion that draws you into the story. I was three quarters through Triple Play when I realized I never stopped for dinner, and I wasn't about to stop then!
She has a new The Edge series out, I will be ordering each. Speaking of which, check out the contests page for the link to her giveaway for EDGE OF DESIRE, the third in the series. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!

Shelly Laurenston - Humor is Damn Sexy!
I don't know that I have thoroughly enjoyed any series as much as I have Shelly Laurenston's Pack and Pride books. Not only are they filled with sexy characters and steamy sex scenes, but I have not laughed out loud this much from reading a book in I don't know when. They are shifters. Sexy Men and Sassy Women that meet life and love head on with force, fun, and all out heat. (There is also a dragon series, but since that is not my thing, I have not read these books. If you have, let me know what you think. Maybe you can convert me!)
My favorite book has to be The Beast in Him. I have never laughed so much in my entire life (and I just have to say it…KARAOKE!!). Although my favorite couple is Sissy Mae Smith and Mitch Shaw (they are both in The Beast in Him, but get their own story in The Mane Attraction [Don't miss this]). Lions, Tigers, and Wolves ( and the upcoming Bears!!) Oh my, YES!!

Lora Leigh Rocks!
Just finished a back to back of Tanners Scheme and Dawns Awakening (yes, I know there were books in between.) I just love her writing style and characters. From my first introduction (Nauti Boy), I have coveted each new title release. I now have the full Nauti Series, as well as The Men of August, all of the Bound Hearts to date as well as many of the Breed series, Law and Disorder, Tempting Seals to date and the Elite Ops currently available.
I have never been one for the paranormal/sci-fi genre, but the way she writes the breed series, it just clicks for me and I find myself less focused on the unrealness of it and more focused on the characters, storyline, and if I can figure out the twist before it is made clear.
If you are looking for something to add a bit of steam to your reading list, pick up a copy of one of Lora Leigh's books and hang on for a wild ride!

NEW HOME! for Where the Boys Area
After many elaborate and exhausting problems with my old host, I have now landed safely at my new home at http://wheretheboysr.blogspot.com and am ready to move forward. I will be reposting old reviews over the next few months as I have time to recover them from my backups, so bear with me while I get situated and then we can enjoy the Summer with some steamy new reads and a some new additions to our fantasy roster.
